The Davenport Society

The Davenport Society is named for Churchill Davenport, the school’s founder and current chancellor – our spiritual leader. He represents the highest dedication to education, the arts, our students, and the community. The Davenport Society hopes to foster a sense of commitment to the Kentucky College of Art and Design’s mission, while giving members an insight into the inner workings of Louisville’s only dedicated arts program. Members will receive special communications and invitations to exclusive KyCAD events throughout the year. As an added benefit, all members’ names will be recognized in the halls of our school to serve as inspiration to our students, reminding them of the overwhelming support the community has invested in their futures.

Pathway to Excellence

This year’s campaign directly supports scholarships and ongoing programs. We must bridge the gap between a student’s ability to afford a college education and the reality of not being able to meet the financial demands. Make a gift now to support a student’s education and evolution.

Establishing a Named Scholarship at KyCAD

A named scholarship at KyCAD may be made in several ways. It is a permanent way to honor a family, loved one, business, or idea. An endowed scholarship, an annual gift scholarship, or a combination gift are some of the ways to structure the establishment of a named scholarship. Please call Meghan Greenwell, Director of Institutional Advancement at (502) 873-4353 for additional information or assistance in establishing a Named Scholarship Fund.

All gifts to KyCAD can be made as a one-time donation, a pledge to be paid in installments, or as a planned gift (bequests, trusts, annuities, or insurance policies). Gifts of cash, stock, real estate, personal property, or in-kind service are all opportunities to financially support KyCAD.

Please contact Meghan Caplan, KyCAD Director of Institutional Advancement at (502) 873-4353 or via email to discuss the various options for maximizing the impact of your gift.
